New Dates in 2027!!
We are pleased to announce that the Region 4 Board of Directors approved new 2027 date for our Sport Horse Championship show, Friday June 11 through Sunday June 13, 2027 at DevonWood Equestrian Center in Sherwood Oregon, host of the 2026 USDF Region 6 Dressage Championships.
DevonWood IS a premier facility that is more than just Dressage courts and uniquely well suited to host Sport Horse in Hand, Under Saddle and Carriage Pleasure, all on the same CDI-grade Hydrosand footing in the 213' by 163' "Double Wide" outdoor arena, identical footing system to their Competition grade Dressage courts.
There is a newer Hampton Inn just over 2 miles away. While there is RV parking on site with some 110v power available, there is a lovely RV Park 6-1/2 miles away on the Tualatin River with full hookups and 220V/30A electric service. We will continue the same format as our 2025 show - Preshow Dressage, Sport Horse in hand and Under Saddle and Carriage on Friday, Championship classes in all of the above on Saturday and Sunday. We can offer some Hunter if entries permit; we usually hire a Working Hunter judge for part of the In Hand and Under Saddle.
We on the Show Commitee believe these dates fit the needs of the Exhibitors in our area - our August dates were unworkable for those going to Canada's National Arabian Championship, and quite close to Sport Horse Nationals, which is almost a week travel time from Western Oregon.
