How to qualify for the Regional Championships
To compete at the Regional or National level, a horse must be qualified.
There are different rules that apply depending on the age of the horse and the particular class in which it will be shown. Riders who show in equitation or showmanship have specific rider qualifications that must be met.

Remember, when qualifying for an Amateur (AT) or Amateur Owner (AO) class, you cannot use points and/or a first or second place obtained by a professional.
Region 4 Horse Shows for Arabians

Region 4 Arabian Horse Shows give Arabian horse owners and enthusiasts a chance to experience and compete in various levels of the "show experience". All Competitors will need the AHA Competition card or pay a single event fee.
Individuals can also receive qualifications for Regional and National events and recognized prestige by recording a horse’s achievement through awards and symbols though the various programs.
Earn recognition for you and your horse through the AHA Achievement Award programs. Amateur riders can participate in the year-end points race. Horses earn Achievement Awards points and have permanent symbols added to their name, signifying honor and prestige.
The AHA Arabian Value Show (AVS) concept provides areas with lower show horse populations, and/or smaller clubs an opportunity to hold AHA qualifying shows that are financially feasible for their circumstances.
Competitors do not need to be members of USEF in order to compete at LITE or LOCAL competitions in regular classes. However, if adult competitors choose to compete in AMATEUR restricted classes, they will need to have a USEF card which identifies them as an AMATEUR. All Junior Exhibitors are automatically classified as Amateurs and do not need the USEF card at a USEF LITE or LOCAL Competition.
ALL OWNERS, TRAINERS, RIDERS AND HANDLERS need to be members of USEF in order to compete at REGULAR competitions in regular classes. Non-members may purchase a one-time USEF Show-Pass directly from USEF prior to the competition.
